Wall Street closed an erratic week higher with strong gains on Friday as strong earnings from Microsoft Corp. and an optimistic outlook from Countrywide Financial Corp. outweighed investor concerns about the economy. Friday's report from Countrywide that it expects to return to profitability soon, despite a big third-quarter loss, gave investors hope that the problems in the housing market are contained and that U.S. consumers still have spending power.
Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by nearly 3 to 1 on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume fell to 3.51 billion shares traded from 4.07 billion on Thursday.
For the week, the Dow rose 2.11 percent, the Nasdaq was up 2.90 percent, and the S&P 500 jumped 2.31 percent.
Even as stocks advanced, investors poured money into commodities markets as a hedge against a falling US dollar, which hit another record low against the euro. Gold futures rose $16.50 to close at $787.50 an ounce, the highest price since January 1980.
Crude futures rose to record levels on Friday, supported by worries over political tensions in the Middle East where the U.S. imposed sanctions on Iran and Turkish troops remained massed at the Iraq board to counter Kurdish rebels. After spiking above $92 a barrel in Asian trading overnight, December crude futures closed up $1.40 to settle at $91.86 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Copper jumped the most in two weeks on speculation that global economic expansion will boost demand for the metal used in homes, cars and appliances. China's economy, the biggest contributor to global growth, expanded 11.5 percent in the third quarter.

UPDATE ON ICON'S DRILLING PROGRAMME IN ATP 626P -SURAT BASIN
Icon has signed the drilling rig contract with Century Resources Rig No.11 to drill Stitch No.1in ATP 626P in the Surat Basin in Queensland. The rig is stacked in Roma and will be mobilised early next week with an expected drilling commencement date three to four days later. Last night 76 mm of rain fell on the location and this has delayed site works until the water soaks away. Stitch No. is planned to be drilled to a depth of 200 metres to intersect the Precipice Sandstone and the Walloon Coal Measures. If the Precipice Sandstone does not contain hydrocarbons then the well could be cased and completed as a Coal Seam Gas well in preparation for de-watering.
Natasha No.1 is on schedule and the rig is expected to arrive on location on Saturday 27th October and commence drilling on 28th October. Natasha No.1 will be drilled to 750 metres and completed as a Coal Seam Gas well. A pump is to be installed soon after to commence de-watering and gas flow testing.
Icon Energy holds a 100% interest in ATP 626P. The wells are located mid way between the townships of Goondiwindi and Moonie just off the Newell Highway.

Wall Street closed slightly lower in erratic trading Thursday as investors uneasy about the credit markets and record-high oil prices took little solace from reports on new home sales and durable goods orders. The Commerce Department said sales of new homes rose 4.8 percent in September from August's levels. The market initially popped on the data, as economists had predicted a decline. But it eventually pulled back because the sales increase was due to a big downward revision in August's decline, and that homebuilders had offered discounts in September to move inventory.
Microsoft Corp. said its fiscal first-quarter profit rose 23 percent as brisk sales of the new "Halo 3" video game, Windows and Office helped the software maker breeze past Wall Street's expectations.
Declining issues outnumbered advancers by 3 to 2 on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 4.07 billion shares, up from 3.88 billion on Wednesday.
Crude futures rose $3.36 to close at $90.46 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange due to concerns about OPEC oil ministers not meeting demand.
Copper rebounded from a five-week low after China, the world's biggest user, said imports of the metal surged.
Gold and silver rose after a drop in the dollar against the euro and soaring energy costs sparked demand for the precious metals as an investment.

Wall Street recovered from steep losses Wednesday amid hopes for an imminent interest rate cut, but stocks still closed down in response to Merrill Lynch & Co.'s credit-related losses and a sharp drop in existing home sales.
After falling 200 points in early trade, the blue chip index reversed direction later in the day, briefly touching positive territory as rumors circulated that the Federal Reserve -- scheduled to meet next week -- might be lowering the discount rate before then. The central bank has also been adding a substantial amount of liquidity to the financial system over the last three days.
Declining issues led advancers by about 2 to 1 on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 3.88 billion, up from 3.21 billion on Tuesday.
The increasing possibility of a cut sent Treasury bond prices sharply higher during the session. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note fell to 4.33 percent from 4.40 percent.
Crude oil resumed its climb after a surprise drop in inventories, with a barrel of light sweet crude up $1.83 at $87.10 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Copper fell to a five-week low on speculation that demand for the metal used in pipes and wires may ease in the U.S. Nickel and lead also declined.
APPEAL LODGED ON BUSINESS INTERRUPTION INSURANCE CLAIM RULING
The Beaconsfield Mine Joint Venture ("BMJV") participants, comprising a number of Beaconsfield Gold group companies, have today lodged an appeal with the Supreme Court of Victoria Court of Appeal against the ruling handed down on 10 October 2007 by Justice Hargrave.
The BMJV participants are claiming indemnity of $45.5 million from their insurer's for losses incurred during the recent suspension of mining activities, and had sought a ruling on a preliminary question regarding the construction of a key policy clause on which they rely.

Alcoa Launches Oil and Gas Web Site Highlighting New Technologies for Offshore Exploration and Production
Alcoa announced today that it has launched a new website (www.alcoaoilandgas.com) that highlights the significant advantages of its technologies for providing better program economics, speed, and range versus traditional materials used in oil and gas exploration and production. In particular for offshore operations, Alcoa is developing and deploying technologies capable of reducing overall weight on a rig by more than 1,000 tons, which will help enable the industry to economically reach reserves previously thought to be too expensive to develop.

Media Release - Third Quarter, 2007
Allegiance Mining ( ASX Code: AGM) is pleased to present its quarterly results ending 30th September 2007. Following are the main points of what has been achieved. A full copy is available on the Allegiance mining website.
AVEBURY NICKEL PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Construction is at full pace and production is scheduled to commence in the 1st Quarter 2008. The project will mill 900,000 tonnes of ore producing 8,500 tonnes of nickel ("Ni") in concentrates pa. The revised business plan currently extends to June 2016 - to extend as resources expand. The Avebury nickel mine is fully operational and has delivered.
MINE AREA EXPLORATION
Hole P008 intersected 8 metres @ 1.0% Ni at the Foundation Stone Prospect located 1.5 kilometres North of the Avebury Mine. This is the first ore-grade intercept in the Pontiac Area to date. Drilling is extending Bintje & Bison mineralisation. These results are not yet included in resources. Infill drilling from an underground drill drive commenced in mid-May so as to materially increase ore reserves by year-end, well ahead of production to allow an early assessment of mill-mine expansion options. Orebody widths are typically 10 metres to 40 metres in good ground conditions.
REGIONAL EXPLORATION
At Melba Flats, Mining Lease ML 2M/2007 has been granted and drilling is well underway.
FINANCE & CORPORATE
Cash balance of $37 million as at 12 October 2007. A$33.04 million share placement funds from Jinchuan Nickel Group of China were received in early July and a capital raising of A$30 million was completed by Merrill Lynch in September. An A$73 loan facility has been signed with Allegiance's banks, Société Générale and ANZ, comprising a US$45 million project finance facility plus cost overrun and working capital facilities.
SALES AGREEMENT
US$3 billion offtake agreement with Jinchuan Nickel Group of China remains a cornerstone agreement that brings major benefits to the Avebury Nickel Project.
Chairman, Tony Howland-Rose said" In-fill drilling and exploration drilling from the decline have progressed well and are ahead of schedule. Three surface drillrigs have been active in the Avebury area and one surface drillrig at Melba. The results at Melba appear encouraging, however assays are awaited. At Avebury, I am particularly encouraged by the Foundation Stone Intersection of 8m of 1% nickel, as this lies well to the North of what we have regarded as the main Avebury horizon."
David Deitz, Director said" we have been progressing towards production and now that we are fully funded we are all looking forward to the revenue and profits for the company and its shareholders over the coming year" - Web Site

Gulf Coast Drilling Update
Lindsey 109A # 1R, Dawson County, Texas (FAR 4.64%)
20 feet of Oil pay logged in successful sidetrack
The Operator reports having encountered 20' (measured depth) of good dolomite pay in a successful sidetracking operation in the Lindsey 109A #1R well. The dolomite zone correlates to the upper pay interval that produced in the original Lindsey 109 A1 well. The zone will now be completed for production and tied into existing production facilities.
The Lindsey 109A #1R well had previously been drilled to 12,280 feet and was sidetracked from a kick off point of 11,700 feet to improve reservoir quality. The sidetracking operation was performed using a large workover rig.
The well was a follow up to the original discovery (in which FAR was a participant) drilled in 1997 which came on line at 186 barrels of oil per day before ceasing prematurely due to down hole mechanical issues. The operator is estimating 270,000 barrels of oil in total recoverable reserves for this location.
The well can be quickly tied into existing production facilities. The operator is RIM Operating, Inc. of Englewood, Colorado.
South Grosse Tete, Iberville Parish, South Louisiana
Rig contracted for late October 2007 - FAR (0-14,500 feet 5%) (>14,500 feet 17.7%)
Grey Wolf Rig 77 has been contracted to drill the Schwing #2 well, a deviated 14,500 foot Nodosaria test in which FAR has a 5% working interest in depths between surface and 14,500 feet. The rig is likely to move in during late October 2007.
The Schwing #2 well has been engineered in a manner to enable deepening to test the Wilcox formation if the shallower objectives fail to yield a commercial result. The well is expected to take 52 days at an estimated completed cost of US$6 million. FAR has retained its full 17.7 percent rights below 14,500 feet and will determine its level of participation in any deepening if and when a firm proposal is made.
A potential bail out zone has been mapped at Bolmex horizon at approximately 11,800 feet. This zone is considered lower risk and may assist in defraying well costs.
The project is being operated by Spartan Operating Company, Inc. FAR's interest is subject to a back-in of 25% after cost recovery is achieved on a full project basis. - Web Site
NE WALLER 3D ACQUISITION COMMENCES
NE WALLER, ONSHORE US GULF COAST
FAR together with AYCO, an established Houston based operator ("Operator"), has commenced acquisition of a 50 square mile 3D seismic survey covering a lightly explored area, on trend with significant Eocene production. The survey is designed to evaluate a number of structural leads generated by extensive subsurface mapping and evaluation of over 100 miles of existing 2D seismic data acquired mainly in the 1980's.
FAR is the lead participant in this onshore Texas Gulf Coast exploration opportunity with a 34% working interest which will provide excellent leverage as the program moves into the drilling phase planned for 2008. - Web Site

Gladiator - IGO Use Squid EM To Target Nickel at Lake Lefroy
A comprehensive ground survey using leading-edge Low Temperature SQUID EM technology is underway at Gladiator Resources Ltd's (ASX: GLA) highly-ranked Lisa's Dune nickel project at Lake Lefroy, east of Kambalda.
The program, being conducted by Gladiator's joint venture partner Independence Group NL (ASX: IGO), is aimed at delineating nickel sulphide targets within an interpreted ultramafic stratigraphy.
The SQUID EM survey area straddles an interpreted 4.5km strike length of ultramafics located within the Gladiator-IGO joint venture licence area (E15/774) and adjoining ground owned by AngloGold where IGO also has an exploration agreement (Figure 1).
Lisa's Dune lies on the eastern edge of the Lake Lefroy salt lake system approximately 25 km east of Kambalda. The area has been the subject of previous conventional EM and limited air core (AC) and reverse circulation (RC) drilling by Western Mining Corporation, which produced anomalous nickel intersections (Figures 2 & 3).
Highly-ranked by IGO for SQUID EM surveying, a total of 73.8 line/km of survey is scheduled for completion at Lisa's Dune by the end of November. The technology is unaffected by saline lacustrine cover sequences, which cannot be explored by conventional EM techniques due to their high conductivity......- Web Site

Sugarloaf Project Update
Kennedy #1H
Aurora Oil & Gas Limited (ASX:AUT, "Aurora") advises that at 6am Texas time on 23 October the Kennedy-1 exploration well was drilling ahead at a measured depth of 13,481 feet (4,110 metres). The planned measured depth of this well is 17,570 feet.
Since our last report, casing was successfully run and cemented at a depth of 12,719 feet (3,878 metres) followed by the commencement of drilling the horizontal section of the well within the target Austin Chalk upper zone. Background gas levels within this horizontal section drilled to date have continued to be broadly consistent with those reported last week.
Sugarloaf-1 Well
Since our last update, the re-frac of the deepest of the three zones of gas shows and log interpreted potential gas pay in the Cretaceous age Austin Chalk Formation was undertaken, with all of the frac proppant injected into the formation as per the program. Flow back operations have recovered over 70% of the frac fluid with traces of gas and condensate. Flowing tubing pressures have steadily declined. The lack of significant hydrocarbon recovery and the flow pressures seen to date indicate that this deepest zone of the Austin Chalk is unlikely to be commercially productive at this location.
The forward plan is to continue the flow back to recover additional fluids followed by the acquisition of post frac wire-line logs for a full assessment of this zone.
The forward program and the timing of testing the two other Austin Chalk zones in this well will be determined by the joint venture after the current testing operations are completed and assessed.
Aurora, through its wholly owned US subsidiary Sugarloaf Oil & Gas, LP, has a 20% interest in the Sugarloaf Project which includes the Sugarloaf-1 and Kennedy #1H wells. - Web Site

Weekly Drilling Update
Project: Shaeffer Ranch
Prospect: Rowena Wilcox
Well: Jean H. Freeborn-1 Jim Wells County, Texas, San Isidro Development Company Operator, Antares 50% Working Interest
The Jean H. Freeborn-1 well spud on 20 September 2007, and has drilled to a current depth of 12,715 feet. Elevated levels of gas in the well required a higher mud weight than initially anticipated to maintain control of the well. As a result of the high mud weight a second string of intermediate casing was required to be run and cemented 300 feet higher than prognosed. The casing was set to a depth of 12,693 feet, which required no change to the forward program. Current plans are to drill ahead after conducting a formation integrity test.
Project: West Wharton
Prospect: West Wharton
Well: Outlar-1 Wharton County, Texas, CICO Operator, Antares 30% Working Interest
The Outlar-1 well is shut in awaiting the pipeline connection. The operator has selected a pipeline route to a sales line approximately 3.5 miles from Outlar-1. The line will pass by the next four drillable prospects and tie-in points will be constructed at each location. The sales line selected will pay a premium for Outlar's rich gas. The operator has estimated 4-8 weeks to put the well into production.- Web Site

Robertson Range - Resource Increase
This morning, FerrAus released an announcement to the ASX outlining a further increase to the size of the resource at the flagship Roberston Range project.
The full announcement can be viewed at the FerrAus site.
The increase to 30.6Mt is approximately 7% higher than the increase to 28.6Mt announced on 17-Sep-07. Importantly, the increase comes from the inclusion of "Saddle Zone" RC results (as announced 15-Oct-07) which highlighted the continuity of the resource between the North and South Zones that will support mining from a single open pit with improved efficiencies and cost.
Additionally, it is worth highlighting that this current increase excludes iron mineralisation and resources yet to be defined at the South West Zone (as announced 22-Oct-07) or of a conceptual nature at other nearby exploration prospects.- Web Site

Wall Street ended an erratic session with a big advance Tuesday as investors uneasy about the economy were reassured by solid earnings from blue chip names including Apple Inc. and American Express Co. The Dow Jones industrial average rose more than 100 points. But comments from DuPont Chief Executive Charles O. Holliday Jr. that the company doesn't expect a recovery in the housing market next year reminded investors of the still uneasy forecasts for the economy.
Advancing issues led decliners by a 2 to 1 margin on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 3.21 billion shares, compared to 3.34 billion on Monday.
Oil prices eased on expectations of rising U.S. crude inventories.
Copper rose from a five-week low in New York on speculation that a declining US dollar will boost demand by making the metal cheaper for buyers holding other currencies.
Gold and silver rose after a decline in the value of the US dollar boosted the appeal of the precious metals as alternative investments.

RE: UPDATE ON ICON'S DRILLING PROGRAMME IN ATP 626P - SURAT BASIN
Icon' current drilling program involves three wells for its 100% interest in ATP 626 as follows:
Natasha No. 1 is expected to commence drilling on October 28th subject to weather. The rig has been released from its present operation. Natasha will be drilled by Mitchell Rig 101 and Lydia No.1 will follow about seven to eight days later. Testing of the wells will commence soon after completion. Natasha No.1 and Lydia No1 will take approximately seven days each.
Stitch No.1 is expected to commence drilling on November 2. The rig we will use is the Century Rig 11 and a contract is about to be signed for the drilling of this well to a depth of about 2000 metres. After extensive negotiations, Century's contract represents significant savings to the company as well as providing an option to drill a second well if Stitch No. 1 is an oil discovery. The Century Rig 11 is stacked in Roma and will be mobilised as soon as we complete the adjustments at the site location to suit Century Rig 11.
Stitch No.1 is expected to take approximately 14 days once drilling commences. It requires about 3 1/2 days setup once the rig arrives on location. Icon will release regular reports on the drilling operations each Tuesday with additional reports on significant results. Icon has a working interest of 100% in ATP 626P and a Net Revenue Interest of 90% after the Government royalty is calculated following the deduction of operations and transportation costs.

STAGE COACH EAST #1 (SSN 100%)
The planning for the fracture stimulation of the two primary zones in the Almond Formation intersected in the Stage Coach East #1 has been completed, and the stimulation is expected to be undertaken later this week, on Friday October 26 or Saturday October 27, depending on the prior utilization of the stimulation equipment. The stimulation plan will place 110,000 pounds of proppant using a nitrogen energized stimulation fluid. The two stage frac will be isolated by a flow through plug which will allow an immediate flow back of frac fluids.

MAITLAND APPRAISAL WELL UPDATE CARNARVON BASIN
Tap Oil Limited ("Tap") provides the following information on the Maitland-2 and-3H wells which spudded on 6th September 2007.
Location
The Maitland-2, 3H appraisal wells are located in permit WA-33-R in the Barrow Sub-basin, approximately 40 kilometres north-west of Barrow Island and 5 kilometres south-east of the John Brookes field. Maitland-3H is a horizontal side track drilled from the Maitland-2 location.
Progress
As of Monday 22nd October testing operations of Maitland-3H had been completed. A constrained stabilised flow rate of around 6 mmscf/d was achieved. Significantly higher short term rates were achieved but had to be choked back due to sand influx. Analysis of the results to determine the flow potential of the reservoir in a development scenario will be conducted over the next few weeks. The well has been plugged and abandoned as planned and two further vertical appraisal wells are in planning to delineate the extremities of the field for development.
Tap Comment
Tap is very pleased with the testing conducted on Maitland-3H, both technically and operationally. The testing programme demonstrates that the flow potential of the Maitland reservoir is well in excess of the restricted test flow. Sand influx is not an uncommon reservoir characteristic and production wells with sand screens are now being designed. Representative gas samples, flow data and pressure build-up data will also be analysed in the coming weeks to confirm flow potential of the reservoir and development scenarios. - Web Site

Wall Street finished a back-and-forth session higher Monday as investors overcame some of their nervousness about the credit markets and uneven earnings and found solace in the technology sector. Apple beat Wall Street targets with a 67 percent rise in quarterly profit on Monday, led by strong sales of its Macintosh computers and a big first full quarter from the iPhone.
Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by about 9 to 7 on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 3.4 billion shares, compared with a heavy 4.05 billion shares traded Friday.
The US dollar rebounded sharply against several major currencies.
Copper fell to the lowest in almost five weeks on speculation that a slowdown in global economic growth will curb demand for the metal.
Gold fell the most in two weeks after the US dollar rebounded. Silver also eased.

Robertson Range - New Discovery; South West Zone
We are pleased to advise you of exciting RC drilling results from a new discovery at Robertson Range, the results of which were released to the ASX today.
The new discovery of iron mineralisation (named the South West Zone) is located near the existing North Zone and South Zone resource. The potential resource is in the order of 5-10 million tonnes, and if realised would increase the resource base across the Robertson Range project towards 40 million tonnes.
Detailed infill drilling is already underway with results expected by Christmas this year.
This discovery was made by systematic exploration of targets identified by reconnaissance gravity surveys earlier this year. Following the high success rate of this exploration method, detailed gravity surveys have recently been completed at both Robertson Range and Davidson Creek to generate additional targets for iron mineralisation.
Our dual-focused strategy involves accelerating exploration while simultaneously conducting studies to optimise future mining operations at Robertson Range. This strategy has resulted in a low discovery cost for iron mineraisation and "direct shipping ore" resources....... - Web Site

WATERLOO EXPLORATION UPDATE
Kagara Zinc Ltd is pleased to report that drilling down plunge of the existing Waterloo inferred resource of 244,000 tonnes grading 14.0% zinc, 3.8% copper and 3.0% lead has established that high grade mineralisation extends to at least 250 metres vertical depth (see attached longitudinal section).
Drill hole WT37 returned 8.8 metres at 17.2% zinc, 4.2% copper, 2.8% lead, 77 grams per tonne silver and 1.01 grams per tonne gold from 221.2 metres to 230.0 metres. Assays are awaited for high grade intersections encountered in holes WT41 and WT43.
True widths are approximately 50% of drilled widths. With the success of the first program at Waterloo, an additional 11 diamond drill holes will now be drilled to define this very high grade base metal deposit further down plunge and along strike.
Based on its current dimensions the Waterloo orebody has the potential to supply at least 30% of the feed into the Mt Garnet polymetallic plant, supplementing feed from Balcooma and Dry River South, or alternatively it could be processed through the Thalanga treatment plant located approximately 40 kilometres to the west of Waterloo.
Preliminary mine design work has commenced and a mining lease application will be submitted shortly. - Web Site

MAITLAND APPRAISAL DRILLING UPDATE
Pan Pacific Petroleum NL reports that as of Monday, 22nd October testing operations of Maitland-3H had been completed. A constrained stabilised flow rate of around 6 million cft/day was achieved. Significantly higher short term rates were achieved but had to be choked back due to sand influx. Analysis of the results to determine the flow potential of the reservoir in a development scenario will be conducted by the operator over the next few weeks. The well has been plugged and abandoned as planned. The Joint Venture operator is also considering two further vertical appraisal wells to delineate the extremities of the field for development.
The Maitland field is located in Permit WA-33-R, Carnarvon Basin, W.A. - Web Site

Private Placement Successfully Completed
The Board of Pryme Oil & Gas Limited (Pryme) is pleased to announce the completion of a placement of 11,562,500 fully paid ordinary shares in the capital of Pryme at $0.32 per share to two independent Queensland based sophisticated investors, Messer's Ian McCauley and John Rawlins, on 22 October 2007.
Ian McCauley and John Rawlins have significant experience operating and investing in the Australian resources industry with both men having held senior executive positions with some of Australia's major resource companies. In 2003, with the merger of their privately owned Yarrabee Coal Company with Aulron Energy Limited (now Felix Resources Limited (Felix)), both gentlemen were appointed as non-executives directors to the Felix board with Ian elected Felix chairman. Within three and a half years of the merger, Felix grew from a market capitalised entity of $30 million to one with over $1.0 billion of market capitalisation. Ian McCauley has also held previous positions with the global oil producer Shell, including Chairman's representative for Queensland. - Web Site

Lacerta Gas Reserves Significantly Upgraded
The Directors of Sunshine Gas Limited (ASX Code: SHG) are pleased to advise that they have received an updated reserve statement from MHA Petroleum Consultants, Inc ("MHA", Malcewicz, Heuni and Associates) of Denver for the Lacerta Coal Seam Gas (CSG) field.
In accordance with Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) guidelines, the following upgraded reserves have now been attributed to the Lacerta field by MHA:
| RESERVE CLASS | INITIAL (PJ) | INITIAL (PJ) |
| 1P Reserve (Proven) | 44 | 1.7 |
| 2P Reserve (Proven + Probable) | 469 | 224 |
| 3P Reserve (Proven + Probable + Possible) | 1097 | 895 |
This represents a 109% increase in 2P reserves and 23% increase in 3P reserves.
The rapid increase in 1P reserves was made possible due to the inclusion of additional pilot well data not part of the initial reserve assessment. Strong pressure communication seen between these pilots and surrounding monitoring wells provides confidence in coal continuity and ultimate well drainage..... - Web Site

Mt Minnie Uranium Drilling to Proceed
Shaw River Resources today announced it has received all government permissions required to proceed with its first uranium drilling program in November 2007 at the prospective Mt Minnie Project, 60km east of Onslow in Western Australia.
Final drilling preparations will be made over the next two weeks with drilling expected to start in the first week of November 2007.
Shaw River's Managing Director Vincent Algar commented, "We are pleased to be getting on with this exciting program. Remember that Shaw River is only the third company to conduct a uranium drilling program in this prospective area since the 1970's."
Shaw River is targeting roll-front uranium with a 36 hole aircore drilling program on part of an extensive palaeochannel system identified in the Mt Minnie area during the 1970s. Exploration in that period resulted in the discovery of the Manyingee, Spinifex and Bennetts Well uranium deposits. Manyingee reached feasibility study level using in-situ leach methods before policies toward uranium changed in WA.
A 4000m RC Drilling program is currently underway at the company's Hedland base metal and gold Project near Port Hedland. - Web Site
