Mt. Garnet District
North Queensland
Leases:
150.7 Hectares of contiguous dedicated mining lease 100% owned by one company.
Logistics:
- The leases are 2km from an adequate water supply.
- Sealed roads to within 2 Km.
- Dedicated access via an existing council road.
- 4 Km to Mt. Garnet Township.
- Local residential skilled mining workforce.
Mineable reserves:
There is a non-JORC indicated oxide RESERVE calculated by Australmin\WMC
demonstrating 712,000t @1.62 g/t Au and 16 g/t Ag at a cut off of 0.5 g/t equivalent.
Cyanide Leach:
Preliminary leach tests define a gold recovery in the realm of 85 percent.
Exploration potential:
- No drilling deeper than 200m vertically.
- Distal to breccia pipes there is significant potential for skarn type ore bodies.
- Geochemistry to date indicates that Zinc is the primary metal. TCH 92 was elevated in Zinc and other base metals throughout.
- Multiple Geochemical anomalies require testing.
Drilling to date:
72 Reverse Circulation holes for 5.7km of which 19 have diamond tails (1.7 Km)
Geologic Setting:
Multiple Late Carboniferous to Lower Permian acid intrusive and extrusive events were terminated by a final phase of rhyolitic and aplite plugs, which were intruded into a high level setting in Devonian Mt Garnet Formation pelites, arenites and conglomerates. Boiling of contained hydrothermal fluids created breccia columns above these rising plugs and the plugs then continued to intrude the breccia columns setting the stage for multiple phases of seal and shatter events.
