Wall Street closed out a bumpy week with a moderate gain Friday as investors, heartened by new inflation data, bought optimistically ahead of next week's rush of earnings releases. The Dow Jones industrials had their 11th advance in 12 sessions, and all the major indexes closed out the week higher.
The major averages closed modestly higher Friday as some upbeat corporate news eventually helped investors look past mixed economic data.
A report from the Commerce Department that the U.S. trade deficit improved for a second straight month gave some support to stocks. Also easing some inflation jitters, crude prices retreated slightly on the New York Mercantile Exchange, falling 22 cents to $63.63 a barrel after surging earlier in the day.
Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by nearly 5 to 3, on reduced volume, on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Dow Jones industrial average ended the week up 51.93, or 0.41 percent, at 12,612.13. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 9.09, or 0.83 percent, at 1,452.85. The Nasdaq composite index rose 20.60, or 0.83 percent, to 2,491.94.
The Russell 2000 index closed the week up 6.03, or 0.74 percent, at 819.38.
Copper prices gained for the sixth week in a row, the longest rally in almost a year, on speculation mine disruptions may limit output amid rising metal consumption in Asia.
Some workers at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.'s Grasberg mine in Indonesia plan a protest next week over wages, a representative of the employees said. In Argentina, Xstrata Plc delayed some metal shipments after a flood delayed rail services. China's demand will be "strong'' this year, Rio Tinto Group Chief Executive Officer Leigh Clifford said.
Gold in New York rose to the highest in almost a year as a decline in the value of the dollar boosted the appeal of the precious metal as an alternative investment. Silver also rose.

Letter to Shareholders - Invitation to Participate in the UXA Shareholder Share Purchase Plan
The Board of Directors of Uranium Exploration Australia Limited is pleased to extend an invitation to Shareholders of the Company to participate in its newly introduced Share Purchase Plan ("SPP").
The SPP will enable each existing eligible Shareholders irrespective of the size of their shareholding, to purchase up to $5,000 worth of Shares in UXA (ranking equally with existing fully paid ordinary Shares) at an attractive price, free of all brokerage and commissions.
Under the SPP, eligible Shareholders will be offered new Shares for subscription at 35 cents per share. The SPP price enables all existing Shareholders the opportunity to purchase Shares at the same price as that for the recent placement.
In formulating the SPP subscription price the Board has also taken into account the average market price calculated over the five trading days immediately prior to 5 April 2007 (being the date of announcement of the SPP).
The trading range of the Company's Shares for the 5 trading days prior to the announcement of the SPP was between 39 cents and 44.5 cents with an average selling price for that period of 42 cents.
This letter sets out the terms and conditions of the offer to Shareholders on this occasion and how to apply for Shares should you wish to participate. Payment can be made by cheque only and must be received by our share registry by 5 pm on Friday 25 May 2007.

INITIAL RESOURCES STATEMENT
Ravensgate, Minerals Industry Consultants, have been retained by the Company to develop a Resource Block Model and Mineral Resource Estimate for the Kihabe Zinc Project in western Botswana. An initial resource has now been compiled.
In summary, these initial resource statements show that:
The gross in-ground values shown above are for resource value estimates only and do not represent recoverable values as metallurgical test work has still to be completed to determine metal recoveries.
The initial Indicated and Inferred Resource Model has been compiled in accordance with the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code-December 2004) based on data from 12,018 meters of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling along a 2.4km zone of zinc, lead, silver, copper and vanadium mineralisation. From this drilling some 10,754 individual meters were submitted for assaying and from these, 2,060 meters, representing all zinc assays above 0.5%, were submitted for check assay to the internationally accredited Genalysis Laboratory in Perth Western Australia.
A full geostatistical analysis and variography studies were conducted by Ravensgate as a basis for applying interpolation by the ordinary Kriging method, utilising drill hole sample composites of nominal 1m length. Models for zinc, lead and silver were appended and a zinc equivalent(s) field was calculated on the basis of 1% zinc = 1.67% lead and 75g/t silver. In addition, copper mineralisation present in the eastern zone of Kihabe was also modeled. Further drilling and metallurgical test work will be required to establish the significance of any potential contributions from vanadium and cobalt.
The Kihabe project is situated within 1km of the Namibian border and can be accessed either from the Botswana side, via the Trans Kalahari Highway to Nokaneng and then by 120km of gravel road or from the Namibian side via Tsumkwe through the Dobe border gate, 15km north of the project.

Goldsearch is pleased to announce recent developments with respect to its exploration activities in Queensland and Victoria.
Mary Kathleen Project (Queensland)
Elaine Dorothy historical drilling and uranium results
Recently Goldsearch Limited was able to locate a number of key historical reports which detail previous drilling programs and results at the Elaine Dorothy prospect by previous explorers. The programs which consisted of both percussion and diamond drilling were completed in two phases. The first phase was undertaken by Mineral Ventures NL in 1955. The second phase was undertaken in 1978-1979 by Mary Kathleen Uranium Ltd, the operators of the former Mary Kathleen Uranium Mine.
The Elaine Dorothy prospect is located approximately 6 kilometres south of the Mary Kathleen Uranium Mine which has produced a total of 8,882 tonnes of uranium between 1958 and 1963 and a second phase between 1975 and 1982(see attached regional targets plan).
Goldsearch has been able to compile all of this data and confirm the position of a number of the holes by field inspection in order to accurately position all holes relative to the four holes (MKRC01-04) drilled by Goldsearch in December 2006.
The previous results are considered encouraging as they define a continuous zone of U3O8 mineralisation over a strike length of approximately 500 metres. Better results include 2.3 metres @ 0.262% U3O8 from 26 metres in hole ED2, 9.5 metres @ 0.036% U3O8 from 13.5 metres in hole ED4 and 2 metres @ 0.134% U3O8 from 100 metres in hole ED11.
This zone is open to the north-west (see attached plan) and down dip/plunge (see attached section) and Goldsearch believes further drilling is required to fully evaluate the potential of this zone as only a limited amount of drilling appears to have been completed to date, particularly towards the north-western end of the system. Goldsearch currently expects to complete two drilling programs within the Mary Kathleen project area over the coming months as well as ongoing exploration at a number of regional exploration targets.........
Sandy Creek (Victoria)
Drilling about to commence
A reverse circulation and diamond drilling program consisting of 4 holes to between 100 to 150 metres is planned to test the depth potential of high grade gold mineralisation previously mined from the Odell’s Mine at Sandy Creek. The program was recently scheduled to commence in mid-March however, due to a number of unforeseen delays, is now expected to commence within the next week. Approval to re-establish cleared vehicle access to the Rhyolite Hill Target area has been received and Goldsearch will commence clearing existing access tracks so that geophysical and geological mapping programs can commence with the aim of defining drill targets. DRILLING HAZELWOOD-1 WELL
PEP 166, ONSHORE GIPPSLAND BASIN, VICTORIA
Lakes Oil N.L. ("LKO") advises that at 6:00 AM today the Hazelwood-1 well was at a depth of 1,298 metres. Over the past twenty-four hours 9 5/8" casing was set. Drilling is expected to re-commence later today.
The Hazelwood-1 well is designed to test gas which has been observed in the Strzelecki Formation in previous wells drilled in the area and to test the Rintoul's Sandstone which is expected to be encountered above basement.
Lakes Oil N.L. currently holds a 50% interest in the permit but is earning an additional 25% interest by 100% funding of the drilling of this well and the Boola Boola-1 well. AusAm Resources will then hold a 25% interest in the permit.
