Bank stocks soar after lawmakers agree on financial regulation bill that's milder than feared

Banks were the market's big performers on a day when the Dow Jones industrial average fell almost 9 points and the other major indexes had only slim gains.
Bank stocks shot higher Friday after an agreement on a financial regulation bill reassured investors that new rules won't devastate financial companies' profits.

Banks outdistanced the rest of the market after congressional negotiators agreed on a bill that increases the regulation of financial companies, but that doesn't include some of the harshest provisions that the government originally proposed. The legislation imposes new rules on the complex investments known as derivates, but the rules aren't as strict as investors feared.

It also includes a far milder version of what's been called the Volcker rule. That rule, named after former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, would have banned commercial banks from trading simply to increase their profits, a practice known as proprietary trading.

The stock market's overall gains were limited by the government's final report on the gross domestic product for the first quarter. The Commerce Department said the GDP, the broadest measure of the economy's health, rose at a 2.7 percent annual pace rather than the 3 percent previously estimated. The report follows a string of weaker-than-expected economic numbers in the past week and raised investors concerns about the recovery.

The Dow fell 8.99, or 0.1 percent, to 10,143.81. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 3.07, or 0.3 percent, to 1,076.76, and the Nasdaq composite index rose 6.06, or 0.3 percent, to 2,223.48.

For the week, the Dow is down 2.9 percent, while the S&P 500 is down 3.6 percent and the Nasdaq is off 3.7 percent. The market fell sharply Wednesday and Thursday in response to the disappointing economic reports.

The indexes fluctuated for much of the day, in part because of the annual reshuffling of stocks in the Russell indexes. That forced investors to buy and sell certain stocks if they have portfolios that follow the indexes.

The Russell 2000 index of smaller companies rose 11.94, or 1.9 percent, to 645.11.

Almost four stocks rose for every one that fell on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to a heavy 6.28 billion shares, up from 4.94 billion on Thursday. The big volume was the result of the buying and selling in Russell index component stocks.

Oil prices spiked more than 3% Friday, as investors worried that storm in the Caribbean could intensify and enter into the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend and ultimately disturb oil production. Crude oil futures for August delivery rose $2.35, or 3.1%, to $78.86 a barrel.

Copper rose, capping its biggest weekly gain in four months, as the US dollar’s decline boosted demand for commodities. Copper futures for September delivery climbed 8.7 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $3.111 a pound on the Comex in New York, after reaching $1.119, the highest level for a most-active contract since June 1. The metal is up 7.2 percent this week, the biggest gain since the week ended Feb. 19.

Gold prices rose to within $10 of their all-time high on Friday as investors sought refuge from financial market uncertainty and currency depreciation ahead of a closely watched G20 meeting.

BEACH ENERGY (BPT)

Tanzanian Agreement Signed - Market Update

Beach Energy Limited ("Beach") provides the following guidance in relation to its forecast
underlying Net Profit after Tax ("NPAT") for the financial year ended 30 June 2010. On early
estimates, Beach currently expects to make an underlying NPAT of between $30 million to
$40 million. The reported NPAT will then take into account other adjustments as required by
accounting standards including:

- a further $43 million which will be received from Arrow (and brought to account in the
30 June 2010 financial accounts), in the event that the offer by Royal Dutch Shell plc
and a subsidiary of Petrochina Company Limited is affected in July 2010; and

- the decision today to write-off approximately $64 million following unsuccessful
exploration efforts in the Bass Basin.

This guidance takes into account the effects on the underlying NPAT of extensive and
unusual flooding in the Cooper Basin and unplanned downtime at the BMG operations. The
specific financial effects of the Cooper Basin floods and BMG down time are difficult to
quantify, however neither are currently expected to have a significant impact on the 2011
financial year results.

As noted in previous releases, some production and costs have been deferred due to the
Cooper Basin flooding, however a net cost has resulted for the 2010 financial year. The
after effects of the flooding will continue to impact on operations for some months to come,
but drilling has recommenced in some areas and as floods subside to the west, operations
will be able to return to normal. Web Site

Indophil comments on mutual termination of Takeover Implementation AgreementIndophil Resources NL (Indophil) and Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd (Zijin) advise that they have
mutually agreed to terminate the Takeover Implementation Agreement between them dated
29 November 2009 (as amended on 15 April 2010). The termination is effective immediately.

The mutual decision to terminate the Takeover Implementation Agreement has been arrived at
following uncertainties created by unexpected and continuing delays in relation to the fulfilment of
certain of the Bid Conditions.

After careful consideration, Zijin has determined that it has no current intention of extending the
offer period in relation to the off-market takeover bid by its wholly owned subsidiary, Golden
Resource Mining (BVI) Limited (Golden Resource Mining), for all of the ordinary shares in
Indophil, which is scheduled to expire on 9 July 2010.

Stocks drop following downbeat forecasts from retailers

Disappointing forecasts from retailers and concern about the government's financial overhaul package pounded stocks Thursday.

The Dow Jones industrial average lost 146 points after edging higher Wednesday. Broader indexes dropped for a fourth straight day. The market's moves were also being driven by traders preparing for changes Friday to some of the stocks that make up the Russell 2000 index of smaller companies. The Russell 2000 fell 11.08, or 1.7 percent, to 633.17.

More than three stocks fell for every one that rose on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 4.9 billion shares, compared with 4.6 billion Wednesday.

Oil prices pared early losses and posted modest gains Thursday as investors weighed weak housing reports with better-than-expected reports on initial jobless claims and manufacturing. Crude oil futures for August delivery added 16 cents to settle at $76.51 a barrel.

Copper rallied over 2 percent on Thursday as investors eyed improved demand signals, including rising durable goods orders in the United States and strong Japanese output data.

Comex gold futures prices closed higher and near the session high Thursday, and were supported by traders once again stepping in to buy weaker prices that were seen in earlier trading. Fresh safe-haven buying interest in gold was also featured Thursday. August Comex gold closed up $10.90 an ounce at $1,245.70. Spot gold was last quoted up $8.40 at $1,246.50.

AURORA OIL & GAS (AUT)

Finalisation of Placement, Appendix 3B and s708A Notice

------

LONGHORN OPERATIONS UPDATE
Aurora Oil & Gas Limited (“Aurora”) is pleased to provide the following update on operations at the
Longhorn Area of Mutual Interest (“AMI”) within the Sugarkane Gas & Condensate Field, Texas.

Turnbull #1H
The Turnbull #1 well has been successfully fracture stimulated and has been unloading and
produced to sales for 10 days. The location of the Turnbull #1 well is the closest well to date within
the Sugarkane field to the known oil leg of the Eagle Ford Shale, which is being developed by other
participants in the trend. As a result this well is expected to have a higher condensate ratio than
that observed from the earlier Sugarkane wells. This higher condensate ratio and continued
attempts to optimise the stimulation design has led to different unloading characteristics compared
to previous wells, with more of the fracture fluids being recovered during the initial flow. As a result,
the hydrocarbon production rates on the Turnbull #1 well have been steadily increasing as the well
cleans up and the choke setting has been increased in small steps over a longer period than the
other wells. We believe that it might be some time before a maximum initial rate can be determined
with the well currently producing over 1,300 barrels of water (fracture fluids) per day. ...

Turnbull #2H
The fracture stimulation of the Turnbull #2 well has been carried out and the isolating plugs, set
after the completion, have now been drilled out. This well will now be unloaded and produced to
sales, an update will be provided once a stabilized production rate has been achieved.

Turnbull #3H
The Turnbull #3H well is presently drilling ahead on the horizontal section. There have been some
operational difficulties encountered over the last week on this well due to the quantities of gas being
produced from what is thought to be a natural fracture along the horizontal section of the wellbore,
however these difficulties are being resolved, with drilling due to recommence shortly at a depth of
approximately 13,000 ft. - Web Site

EXCALIBUR MINING (EXM)

Commencement of Drilling
Browns Range Project – Tanami Region

Excalibur Mining Corporation Limited (ASX: EXM) advises that drilling has commenced at the
Company’s Browns Range project on EL 25207 in the Tanami region of the Northern Territory
of Australia.

Excalibur considers the tenements prospective for an unconformity style uranium and/or
gold mineralisation similar to deposits in the East Alligator region of the Northern Territory.

Excalibur’s Managing Director, Tim Lagdon said, “While it is very early stage exploration, the
large targets (some are 2 – 5km long) and the positive geophysics make the modest cost of
the first pass reconnaissance drilling compelling.”

The drilling program will follow up on the previous airbourne geophysics completed in 2008
that identified a number of attractive targets based on the interpretation of structural and
radiometric data.

The program of 10,000 metres of shallow RAB drilling will conclude by mid-July, with results
to be announced thereafter. - Web Site

Oilex Completes 3D Seismic Interpretation on WA-388-P

Oilex Ltd (ASX: OEX, AIM: OEX) advises that it has completed the interpretation of the Rose 3D seismic
data in permit WA-388-P located outboard of the North West Shelf Project and on trend with Pluto,
Wheatstone, and Gorgon fields, offshore Western Australia.
A portfolio of leads and play types has been developed. Seven leads have been identified ranging in
potential size from 0.3 to 2.8 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of prospective gas resource (recoverable best
estimate, 100% basis). Work that has been completed in the past 4 months confirms that the seismic
amplitude anomalies evident in the 3D seismic data are likely Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators (DHI)
suggesting the presence of gas by analogy with nearby fields and discoveries.
Given this positive result, the Joint Venture is now considering options to further define the largest of the
leads (Placanica) in preparation for possible drilling.
The WA-388-P permit is in a region of increasing exploration interest being located on the same play
fairway as the Pluto and Wheatstone fields. It is close to the WA-389-P and WA-360-P permits which
Woodside and Petrobras have respectively been reported to have farmed into in 2010. Potential exists for
gas discoveries of 1 TCF or more to provide feedstock for existing LNG projects such as Pluto, Wheatstone
or North West Shelf.

Oil Discovery in Catahoula Lake

The first well to be drilled from PLX’s barge rig in the Catahoula Lake Project, the State Lease 502 No.1 well, has been drilled to a total depth of 4,280 feet and logged resulting in the discovery of approximately 35 feet of net oil pay across multiple Middle Wilcox sands. Production casing is being run and the well is being set up for production. PLX has a 100% working interest (75% net revenue interest) in the well.

In addition to the targeted sands, the well intersected a number of newly discovered oil bearing sands providing the opportunity to establish additional drilling locations for future testing.

“This is a very good result. The well will be completed and tied into PLX’ production facilities, flow lines and salt water disposal facilities,” said Ryan Messer, PLX’ Managing Member and Pryme’s Executive Director/COO. “This is the first well to be drilled with the barge mounted rig in over a decade and we are pleased to report that the refurbished rig performed well confirming that it will be a major component of PLX’ future exploration activities. Catahoula Lake is truly an underexplored area in the region and we are looking forward to continuing exploration success.”

This will be the only well to be drilled with the barge mounted rig this season as the draining of Catahoula Lake by the US Army Corps of Engineers will commence in July. Drilling in the area of the lake will be continued with a land-based rig after the water level has been lowered and is expected to commence in September of this year. Drilling from the barge mounted rig is planned to resume in February 2011. - Web Site

Bullabulling Gold Project - Drilling Program Commences

A diamond drilling program has commenced at the Bullabulling Gold Project to intersect known mineralisation over a 2.5km portion of the Bullabulling Trend between Bacchus and Phoenix pits (see figure).
Drilling at Bacchus previously intersected gold mineralisation with intercepts of 7m @ 77g/t Au, 5m @ 14g/t Au, 4m @ 5.08g/t Au, 3m @ 4.43g/t Au, and 3m @ 9.16g/t Au beneath the existing Bacchus Pit. This mineralisation remains unmined and is not included in the current JORC resource estimate (table below).
Seven drillholes are planned totalling 1,432m; details and targeting strategy for each holes is given in the table below. The drilling will provide detailed structural information related to grade and allow detailed geological data to be collected from the hanging wall through to the footwall of the Bullabulling shear zone, which is approximately 500m wide.- Web Site

Heemskirk Drilling Programme

Heemskirk Tin Drilling Commences
Stellar Resources Limited is pleased to advise that it has commenced a
diamond core drilling program at its 60% owned Heemskirk Tin project near
Zeehan on Tasmania’s west coast. The program will focus on Queen Hill, the
shallowest of three tin deposits that comprise the Heemskirk project. The
program will infill historical drilling where the drilling density is lowest, in a
zone between the surface and a depth of 120m.

  • Results should provide greater definition of the mineralised envelope
in an area that could be evaluated for low cost development (see Figure 1).
  • In addition, results should allow Stellar to upgrade the historical data
base to improve the basis for a modern JORC compliant mineral
resource estimate for the Queen Hill deposit.
  • Geotechnical data will also be collected for the purpose of mine
    planning.
  • Drilling is designed to maximize sample size for metallurgical test
work which can include work on process design circuitry.

Stellar’s joint venture partner in the Heemskirk Tin Project is Gippsland
Limited. Under the joint venture agreement, Stellar (through its subsidiary
Columbus Metals Limited) has the right to increase its ownership to 70% by
completing a feasibility study to a certain standard. - Web Site

BEACH ENERGY (BPT)

Media Release: Beach targets big oil in Tanzania concession

Beach Petroleum (Tanzania) Limited (Beach), a wholly owned subsidiary of Beach Energy
Limited, will explore for world scale oil fields along Africa’s Great Rift Valley having now
executed a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) in western Tanzania.

An agreement with the government of the United Republic of Tanzania for a 100% interest in
the Lake Tanganyika South concession, was signed in Dodoma today. The agreement gives
Beach the right to explore the Great Rift Valley in western Tanzania.

The concession, the only exploration lease currently active in the Rift region within Tanzania,
is considered highly prospective for oil, and Beach's exploration program will target plays
similar to those to the north in Uganda, where recent exploration by UK's Tullow Oil plc and
Heritage Oil plc has proved extremely successful.

Beach Energy Managing Director, Reg Nelson, said, “We regard the Rift region in Tanzania
as hugely prospective, but totally unexplored, with the region dotted with natural oil seeps
and significant oil exploration success in bordering countries such as Uganda.”

“Major oil discoveries have recently been made along the same geologic trend to the north
where more than 800 million barrels of oil have been discovered in the past seven years.
Companies operating in Uganda, such as Tullow Oil, have estimated there is potential to
discover another 1.5 billion barrels in coming years,” Mr Nelson said.

Stocks slip after new-home sales tumble, and Fed issues a more cautious take on the economy

The stock market closed with a slight loss Wednesday after sales of new homes hit a record low and the Federal Reserve indicated that problems in Europe pose a threat to the U.S. economy.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose about 5 points, but broader indexes fell and losing stocks outnumbered advancers on the New York Stock Exchange. Treasury prices rose, pushing down interest rates. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note fell to its lowest level in more than a year.

The market's moves were subdued for much of the day and trading volume was light, as it has been for weeks.

Falling stocks narrowly outpaced those that rose on the NYSE, where consolidated volume came to 4.6 billion shares, in line with Tuesday.

Oil prices sank Wednesday after a weekly government report showed a surprise build in crude supplies and the Federal Reserve said it will continue to hold interest rates near zero. Crude oil futures for August delivery slipped $1.50, or 1.9%, to settle at $76.35 a barrel.

July N.Y. copper closed down 565 points at 293.55 cents Wednesday. Prices closed nearer the session low.

Comex gold futures are closed modestly lower Wednesday, as the market was pressured by lower crude oil prices and a firmer U.S. dollar. Much of the selling pressure was profit taking and market consolidation after prices hit a fresh all-time record high on Monday. August Comex gold closed down $6.00 an ounce at $1,234.80. Spot gold was last quoted down $5.10 at $1,234.00.

Redback 2 Gas Exploration Well, Northern Perth Basin, Western Australia

Progress and Status:

Origin Energy, on behalf of the L11 Joint Venture, advises that the Weatherford drilling rig 826 is currently drilling the Redback 2 exploration well. This well is being drilled from the same surface location as Redback 1, drilled in 2004.

Total depth of 3,966m MDRT# (3,769 metres sub-sea) was reached on 16 June 2010. Subsequently, wireline logs have been acquired. However due to hole conditions pressure data could not be acquired from the Wagina reservoir zone.

Consequently the decision has been made to case and suspend the well for future completion and tie-in to the Beharra Springs Gas Production Facility. This will allow further assessment of the size of the accumulation.

At 06.00 hours Western Standard Time today casing operations were underway.

CASTLE MINERALS (CDT)

Strong New Gold Anomalies Defined
Castle Minerals Limited (ASX: CDT) is pleased to announce that soil sampling along the Julie West – Jang corridor has defined a number of very strong and coherent gold anomalies. The Julie - Jang corridor forms part of Castle's large Wa Project in north west Ghana.
Julie West
The Julie West gold anomaly is 2km north of Castle's 56,000 ounce Julie West gold deposit and 3km west of the 350,000 ounce Julie gold deposit (ASX:AZM).
This new 1.2km long anomaly is parallel to the high grade Julie West gold vein and was defined by detailed soil sampling completed on a 100m x 50m spaced grid. The anomaly is well defined at +100ppb gold and includes peak values of 490ppb and 2,255 ppb gold.
There is no recorded outcrop in the area and the anomaly may overlie high grade, vein hosted gold mineralisation. Access to this area is good and a 2,500m RC program is proposed to test this target. A rig is currently being sourced to conduct this work. - Web Site

INTREPID MINES (IAU)

Intrepid Mines Limited: Significant Change in Circumstances
Demands Board Reverse Paulsens Sale Recommendation

21 June 2010: Intrepid Mines Limited (ASX,TSX: IAU) (the “Company”) reports that, since the announcement of the Paulsens sale transaction on 5 May 2010, mine development and further exploration at Intrepid’s expense has significantly increased the forecast life of mine gold production from Paulsens.

In addition, sharp increases in the $A gold price have occurred (due largely to a weaker exchange rate), and together these factors have increased forecast cash flow from the mine by approximately $19 million (75%). As a result, Intrepid’s Board of Directors has now withdrawn its support for the proposed sale of the mine to Northern Star Resources Limited (“Northern Star.”)

“The Board’s decision is based upon new information and changes in the market which had not previously been anticipated” said Colin Jackson, Intrepid’s Chairman. “Following additional exploration work as well as sharp changes to the gold price, we find ourselves in a position which would result in our existing shareholders forgoing far too much value for the compensation we have been offered. The board still sees merit in selling Paulsens to concentrate on Tujuh Bukit but not under the terms of the current deal.

Having reviewed all circumstances today, including the significantly increased size of the mine’s gold resources as well as the recent increases in the Australian dollar gold price, and hence the projected increase for a Paulsens cash flow well in excess of the sale consideration, the Board now recommends that shareholders oppose the resolution to sell the Paulsens gold mine on the terms set out in the Notice of Meeting.”

Based on an earlier estimate of the mine’s potential production as well as on projected cash flow as calculated using earlier gold prices and Australian currency exchange rates, the two companies had signed a Letter Agreement for the planned sale for a consideration of up to A$27 million. This Letter Agreement remains subject to shareholder approvals and other approvals and conditions usual to an agreement of this type.

Following discussions regarding the changes to cash flow forecasts, Northern Star have approached the Company with a variation on the Letter Agreement, which envisages an additional cash payment of $5 million, payable in six monthly instalments commencing on 31 August 2010, on condition that the gold price remains at or above A$1,400, plus the grant of 10 million options to subscribe for shares in Northern Star at a price of $0.10 per share (a 33% premium to the closing price on 18 June 2010).

The Intrepid Board does not believe that this variation adequately compensates shareholders for the cash flow value that would be forgone in the event of the sale proceeding. - Web Site

Extension of Voluntary Suspension Request

Further to our announcement dated 16 June 2010, Indophil Resources NL (Indophil) requests an
extension to its voluntary suspension until no later than 10am Wednesday, 14 July 2010.

The Philippine Government is in transition following the recent elections. As a consequence,
Indophil has been unable to obtain clarity from relevant Philippine central and regional government
officials as well as from Xstrata’s subsidiary, Sagittarius Mines Inc., in relation to the proposed
South Cotabato Environmental Code.

Media speculation has focused on a proposal to ban open pit mining within the province of South
Cotabato, contained within a new Environmental Code. Whilst the proposal to use the drafting of a
local Environmental Code to carry a ban on open pit mining had previously been proposed by anti-
development individuals, it had never received serious consideration or gained traction. The matter
has been raised from time to time, but never survived even a cursory test of validity, being deemed
illegal, unconstitutional and outside the scope of a local authority. ... - Web Site

WALL STREET

Stocks dropped for a second day Tuesday after home sales fell unexpectedly and the White House said it would fight a court ruling that lifted its ban on offshore oil drilling.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 149 points, its biggest drop in about two weeks. Treasury prices climbed after demand for safe investments rose.

It was the second straight day that the market gave up early gains to end lower. The selling intensified shortly before 2 p.m. Eastern time, when the benchmark Standard & Poor's 500 index fell below 1,111, its average finish of the past 200 days. Many professionals who use technical factors in their buying and selling decisions consider the 200-day moving average, as it's called, to be a predictor of the market's direction. The drop below 1,110 hastened the market's slide because computer programs kicked in and drove more selling.

Four stocks fell for every one that rose on the New York Stock Exchange. Consolidated volume came to 4.6 billion shares, compared with 4.5 billion Monday.

Oil stocks fell after the administration said it would appeal a judge's decision to overturn a six-month ban on deepwater oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

July N.Y. copper closed up 500 points at 299.20 cents Tuesday. Prices closed nearer the session high and saw short covering in a bear market. Copper prices are still in a nine-week-old downtrend on the daily bar chart.

Comex gold futures closed near unchanged price levels on the day Tuesday, as the market paused and consolidated after Monday’s active trading session, in which a new all-time high was scored only to see prices back off sharply by the end of the trading session. Bargain hunters did once again step in to buy gold at the lower price levels Tuesday. August Comex gold up $0.10 an ounce at $1,240.80. Spot gold was last quoted up $7.00 at $1,240.00.

Beach Energy Limited Weekly Drilling Report
Week ending 23 June 2010

The drilling report and well location map for the week ending 23 June, 2010 are
attached. Highlights of the week’s activities include:

Beach Operated Shale Gas Exploration - PEL 218, Cooper Basin

Drilling of a two well exploration program targeting Shale Gas potential within the
South Australian portion of the Nappamerri Trough, is now expected to commence in
mid to late August with Encounter-1. Weather conditions in Thailand have hindered
completion of maintenance work on some of the Ensign 16 rig components and their
subsequent shipment to Australia, causing the delay.

Holdfast-1, earlier planned to spud in mid July as the first well in the program, will
now follow Encounter-1 due to ease of access following Cooper Basin flooding
(Beach - Operator, 90%, Adelaide Energy 10%).

Cooper/Eromanga Oil Development - Santos Operated

The Inca-1 oil exploration well (Beach 30%) is drilling ahead at a depth of 1,766
metres in the Hutton Sandstone. The well is being control drilled to an estimated
total depth of 1,870 metres.

mineralized system. The machinery cut across the base of the prominent spur mined in shallow
underground workings over the past 6 years by artisanal miners and progressed into the deep gully
hosting the majority of the mining activity. Continuous 5 metre channel samples have been taken
while the rock is still fresh from the machinery cuts. The machinery is preparing to continue

TRANSIT HOLDINGS (TRH)

Transit confirms magnetite potential of Johnston Range Iron Project, WA

Transit Holdings Ltd (ASX TRH and “Transit” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce results of an initial assessment of the magnetite potential of its wholly owned Johnston Range Iron Project (the “Project”) in the Koolyanobbing belt north of Southern Cross in Western Australia.

The Company advises that initial assay results at the Project have returned excellent intersections of magnetite. In assessing the magnetite potential of the Project the Company has sampled and assayed drill cuttings from a previous drilling programme which intersected magnetite-rich BIF, confirming grades in line with other highly prospective magnetite iron ore projects in Western Australia.

The Johnston Range Iron Project contains a 35km long sequence containing a number of sub-parallel Banded Iron Formation (“BIF”) units, and therefore has potential to host a significant magnetite deposit.

As the initial assessment has confirmed the Project’s magnetite potential, Transit will now undertake additional exploration work to contribute towards the Company’s assessment of the magnetite’s prospectivity as an economic deposit. - Web Site

AZUMAH RESOURCES (AZM)

AZUMAH COMPLETES A$11.6M RAISING
TO GROW 1.1MOZ RESOURCE INVENTORY

North American institutions broaden share register
Results from recent drilling due soon

Azumah Resources (ASX:AZM) is pleased to report that it has settled both the Australian and North American components of its A$11.6 million capital raising, paving the way for an acceleration in exploration aimed at increasing the 1.1 million ounce gold resource inventory at the Company’s wholly-owned 3,100km2 Wa Gold Project, north west Ghana (Figure 1. Table 1).

The raising, which was done through the issue of 27.9 million new shares at 40 cents each (see ASX release dated 28th May 2010), increases Azumah’s working capital to more than A$15 million.

It also substantially broadens Azumah’s shareholder base and, most importantly, introduces the Company to the North American markets, which are active supporters of West African gold explorers and producers.

Azumah has recently escalated exploration and drilling across its key targets, including further rounds of reverse circulation (RC), diamond and aircore drilling completed in the vicinity of its Kunche, Bepkong, Julie and Collette deposits. Results from this work will be released progressively to the ASX over coming weeks. Drilling campaigns continue at these targets and at several other new areas of interest.

In addition, Azumah will shortly commence a 20,000 line kilometre, high-definition (100m traverse spacing, 40m survey height) aeromagnetic geophysical survey to be flown over the key Vapor prospecting licence, which encompasses the Kunche and Bepkong deposits and a substantial area north and south of these. It will also cover the Julie, Collette and Josephine prospecting licences. An induced polarisation ground geophysical survey targeting an area to the west and north of Kunche – Bepkong has just been completed.

The Feasibility Study for the development of the Wa Gold Project remains on schedule for completion by the end of this calendar year. The study is based on a one million tonne-a-year-plus gravity – CIL gold recovery operation, producing an initial 70,000 ounces of gold per annum and expanding to over 100,000 ounces per annum. - Web Site

Target Delineation Programme Underway at Simuku

Barrick (PNG Exploration) Ltd (Barrick) has begun a target delineation programme on
Coppermoly’s Simuku porphyry copper system. A fly camp has been set-up at the site with a
geological crew currently exploring the southern part of the Simuku system (Refer to Figure 1).

Major exploration programs have historically been completed at Simuku where 6,021 metres of
drilling in 31 diamond drillholes and 28 kilometres of bulldozer surface trenching have defined a
3,500 metre by 650 metre copper envelope of mineralisation. A maiden Inferred Resource has been
estimated at 200 million tonnes of 0.47% copper equivalent* within one-third of the known area of
surface mineralisation.

Near surface secondary copper enrichment occurs within the area of the Inferred Resource where
drilling intersected a 27 metre thick layer grading 0.74% copper (from 23 metres depth) at the
Tobarum Prospect and a 16 metre thick horizon grading 1.0% copper (from 16 metres depth) at the
Nayam Prospect.

High grade zones of molybdenum have been demonstrated at the Horseshoe Prospect, including
0.41% molybdenum from surface which also remains to be fully evaluated by drilling.

Coppermoly have an agreement with Barrick whereby they can spend A$20 million to earn 72% of
the three tenements EL 1043 (Nakru), EL1077 (Simuku) and (EL1445) Talelumas. - Web Site

Stocks erase gains after traders re-examine China's plan to let yuan appreciate against US dollar

Stocks erased big gains Monday after investors lost some of their enthusiasm about China's decision to let its currency appreciate against the US dollar.

The initial reaction to China's weekend announcement was that a stronger yuan compared with the dollar would allow U.S. manufacturers and exporters to be more competitive selling their products in China. But traders came to see the move as more of a long-term shift rather than something that would give the economy a boost now.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell about 8 points after climbing nearly 144 in early trading.

Three stocks fell for every two that rose on the New York Stock Exchange, where consolidated volume came to 4.5 billion shares, compared with 4.9 billion Friday.

Prices for many commodities climbed but ended off their highs. Crude oil rose 64 cents to $77.82 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gold hit a record $1,266.50 an ounce before settling down $17.60 at $1,240.70 an ounce.

U.S. copper futures jumped 4 percent on Monday on hopes China would buy more of the metal if it revalued its currency, but gains were limited by uncertainty over how flexible the yuan could become, analysts said.

BHP Billiton Announces Agreement With The Government of Western Australia To Amend Royalties And State Agreements

BHP Billiton today announced that it had signed a non-binding Heads of Agreement with the Government of Western Australia to amend Iron Ore royalty rates payable to the State effective 1 July 2010.

Based on this agreement, the State will proceed with amendments to the State Agreement Acts covering operations managed by BHP Billiton, to require payment of royalties on iron ore shipments at the rates specified in the WA Mining Regulations. Royalty rates will increase from 3.75 per cent of sales revenue to 5.625 per cent for Fines and from 3.25 per cent to 5.0 per cent for Beneficiated Ore. The Lump royalty will be 7.5 per cent, which is already the prevailing rate for most of the Lump ore produced from projects managed by BHP Billiton. The rates as amended will apply to all existing operations and future projects covered by the State Agreements.

Additionally, BHP Billiton and the Government of Western Australia have agreed to make amendments to various State Agreements to:

permit sharing of infrastructure and blending of products across the networks operated by BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto; and
modernise other provisions of the State Agreements.
These changes to the State Agreements will enable BHP Billiton's existing iron ore operations to operate more efficiently. They will also help facilitate the proposed West Australian Iron Ore Production Joint Venture between BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, which is still subject to approval from regulators and shareholders. - Web Site

FORMAL SIGNING OF US$1.2 BILLION KARARA PROJECT LOAN FACILITY IN CANBERRA
MAJOR AUSTRALIAN IRON ORE PROJECT SIGNS FUNDING AGREEMENT

Canberra, 21 June 2010 – Gindalbie Metals Limited (ASX: GBG – “Gindalbie”) today applauded China’s support for emerging Australian resource projects following the formal signing of key loan documentation for a US$1.2 billion Project Loan Facility which underpins development of its US$2 billion Karara Iron Ore Project in Western Australia.
Gindalbie and its joint venture partner, Ansteel, said the landmark debt facility was a major achievement in the current uncertain political and economic climate which reflected the quality of the Karara Project – one of the largest resource projects currently under construction in Australia.
The loan facility agreement was signed in Canberra today by Gindalbie’s Managing Director, Mr Garret Dixon, representing the joint venture company Karara Mining Limited, and Mr Chen Yuan, the Chairman of China Development Bank. - Web Site

The delay has occurred as a result of delays in access to the logging contractor and associated equipment.

WILDHORSE ENERGY (WHE)

WILDHORSE SECURES SECOND MAJOR HUNGARIAN UCG COAL ASSET

Highlights:

• Granted a coal exploration licence over the Izabela UCG Project (‘Izabela’ or ‘the Project’), a 47.5 sq
km coal deposit in northern Hungary with recognised potential for Underground Coal Gasification
(‘UCG’)

• The Project enhances WildHorse’s existing UCG operations in Hungary, where it is already developing
the Mecsek Hills Gas UCG Project in southern Hungary

• Izabela is located in an historical coal mining district which has undergone significant exploration, is in
proximity to three power stations and has excellent infrastructure including pipelines

• Data  for  160  historic  drill  holes  assists  the  de‐risking  of  the  exploration  phase  of  the  Project
development

•  Preliminary review of historic drill data indicates that the coal has significant potential for UCG.  The
coal (sub‐bituminous) is found at depths of between 250m‐600m, is gently dipping, displays good
continuity and at least three seams exist of between 2 ‐8m thickness

• The  Izabela  UCG  Project  is  the  first  addition  to  WildHorse’s  UCG  site  portfolio  as  part  of  the
Company’s strategy of securing a pipeline of strategic UCG sites in Central Europe (particularly in
Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) where the heavy reliance on Russian gas imports
creates an attractive price environment  - Web Site
